Shop-floor execution for NetSuite and Epicor manufacturers
Keep NetSuite or Epicor Kinetic for items, BOMs, inventory and costing. Use factoryapps at the station, where operators follow guided steps and every unit gets a record of what was done to it.
Where factoryapps sits
Your ERP plans the work: what to build, how many, by when, from which parts. factoryapps runs the build. Each station shows its steps on a tablet, each result is checked against its limits, and each unit's history is kept by serial or lot.
The two systems share items and work orders. The ERP stays the system of record for inventory and cost.
How it works with your ERP today
Export items and work orders from the ERP as CSV, for example from a NetSuite saved search or an Epicor Kinetic BAQ, and import them into factoryapps. The import previews every change before it saves. An empty export from factoryapps is the template, so the column mapping takes one pass.
Completions go back to the ERP from the production summary, which exports to CSV by day, work order and item.
Items
SKU, name, kind, unit of measure and revisions, matched by SKU so a re-import updates instead of duplicating.
Work orders
Number, item, revision, quantity and due date, released in factoryapps and run on a line.
Operators, stations and reasons
Badges, stations and failure reason codes import from CSV the same way.
Live sync with NetSuite and Epicor Kinetic
We are building a two-way connector for NetSuite and Epicor Kinetic. Items, BOMs and work orders come in. Completions and scrap post back.
It writes to the same records the CSV import fills, so a line you set up now carries straight over.
Compared with the ERP's own shop-floor module
NetSuite and Epicor both sell shop-floor modules of their own. If your floor mainly needs labor and quantity reporting against the work order, start there.
If you need step-by-step instructions at each station, a check at each step, and a record of every step on every serial, look at that part closely. That is the part factoryapps is built around.
Other ERPs, or none
Any ERP that can export a CSV works the same way. Manufacturers without an ERP create items and work orders directly in factoryapps.
Common questions
Does factoryapps integrate with NetSuite?
Yes. You import items and work orders from NetSuite CSV exports, such as a saved search, with a preview before anything saves. A live two-way NetSuite connector is in development.
Does factoryapps integrate with Epicor Kinetic?
Yes. You import items and work orders from Epicor Kinetic CSV exports, such as a BAQ, with a preview before anything saves. A live two-way Epicor Kinetic connector is in development.
Does factoryapps replace our ERP?
No. It runs the build on the floor. Inventory, purchasing, costing and planning stay in your ERP.
Can we start now and move to live sync later?
Yes. Start with CSV imports on one line. The connector updates the same records, so nothing is set up twice.
Which ERPs can we import from?
Any ERP that exports a CSV. Items, work orders, operators, stations and failure reasons each have a CSV import with a preview.
